Health Check Report: Home Course Not Found in Latest Catalog

Select the HOME COURSE NOT FOUND IN LATEST CATALOG radio button and use the  button to run it.

The screenshot above does not include any equivalencies with multiple target courses. If you have an equivalency defined to multiple target courses, any of which no longer appear in your catalog, the term “True” will appear in the MULTIPLE column. Proceed to the section titled Multiple = True for further explanation on your options with respect to equivalencies to multiple target courses where one or many of them no longer appear in your catalog.

  • To see the (current) equivalencies associated with a single target course that no longer appears in your latest catalog, click the  button next to that target course.
  • The equivalencies where the course was used in an equivalency are displayed. In the following example CS 451 – OPERATING SYSTEMS was selected from the previous list. Use the  button beside each equivalency to view the details. In the equivalency you can see the source institution and all of the other information for that equivalency. You may review each equivalency, if you choose to.
  • To view an equivalency, click the VIEW button.

  • To batch edit ALL the selected equivalencies, click the  button:

  • Option I allows you to Replace the target course with another course. It can be from the same academic department or a different one. If you have added User-Added Courses to your catalog, they are also displayed and available to be selected. Only one course can be selected.

    • Select the “Replace” radio button and the radio button for the new course.

  • Scroll to the bottom of the page and click the  button.

  • The action can not be undone. You will be prompted to acknowledge it.

 

  • Click OK to proceed (or Cancel to return to the list).

  • You will receive a message the the equivalencies were successfully updated.

  • Click the  button to return to the list of “missing” target courses.

  • Option II allows you to Date Cap the existing equivalencies, making them (all) inactive.

    • Select the “Date Cap” radio button and enter the date that you would like to close all of the equivalencies (in m/d/yyyy format).

    • Scroll to the bottom of the page and click the  button.

    • The action can not be undone. You will be prompted to acknowledge it.

  • Click OK to proceed (or Cancel to return to the list).

  • You will receive a message the the equivalencies were successfully updated.

  • Click the  button to return to the list of “missing” target courses.

  • Option III combines both of the previous options. It allows you to Date Cap the existing equivalencies and Replace the no longer existing course with another course for equivalencies moving forward. You will add an End Date to the existing equivalencies and optionally add a Begin Date for the new equivalencies moving forward. You can Replace the course from the same academic department or a different one. If you have added User-Added Courses to your catalog, they are also displayed and available to be selected.

    • Select the “Date Cap...AND...” radio button.

    • Enter the date that you would like to close all of the equivalencies (in m/d/yyyy format).

    • (Optional) Add a Begin Date for the new equivalencies.

    • Select the radio button for the new course

    • Scroll to the bottom of the page and click the  button.

    • The action can not be undone. You will be prompted to acknowledge it.

  • Click the  button to return to the list of “missing” target courses.
