Health Check Report: Home Course Title Change

Select the HOME COURSE TITLE CHANGE radio button and use the  button to run it.

The screenshot above includes two equivalencies with multiple target courses. If you have an equivalency defined to multiple courses, any of which has had a title change in your catalog, the term “True” will appear in the MULTIPLE column (and no arrow button will appear to the left of the course in the list). Proceed to the section titled Multiple = True for further explanation on your options with respect to equivalencies to multiple target courses where one or more have a different title in your current catalog.

  • To see the (current) equivalencies associated with a single target course that has a different title than the same course in your current catalog, click the  button next to that target course.
  • The equivalencies where that course is used are displayed. In the following example
ART 360 – PAINTING II was selected from the previous list. Use the  button beside each equivalency to view the details. In the equivalency you can see the source institution and all of the other information for that equivalency. You may review each equivalency, if you choose to.

  • To view an equivalency, click the VIEW button.

  • To batch edit ALL the selected equivalencies, click the  button:

  • There are three options available to update equivalencies; Replace, Date Cap, and Date Cap and Replace:

  • Option I allows you to Replace the no longer existing course with another course. It can be from the same academic department or a different one. If you have added User-Added Courses to your catalog, they are also displayed and available to be selected.

  • Select the “Replace” radio button and the radio button for the new course.

    • Scroll to the bottom of the page and click the  button.

    • The action can not be undone. You will be prompted to acknowledge it.

    • Click OK to proceed (or Cancel to return to the list).

    • You will receive a message the the equivalencies were successfully updated.

    • Click the  button to return to the list of “missing” target courses.

  • Option II allows you to Date Cap the existing equivalencies, making them (all) inactive.

    • Select the “Date Cap” radio button and enter the date that you would like to close all of the equivalencies (in m/d/yyyy format).

  • Option III combines both of the previous options. It allows you to Date Cap the existing equivalencies and Replace the no longer existing course with another course for equivalencies moving forward. You will add an End Date to the existing equivalencies and optionally add a Begin Date for the new equivalencies moving forward. You can Replace the course from the same academic department or a different one. If you have added User-Added Courses to your catalog, they are also displayed and available to be selected.

    • Select the “Date Cap...AND...” radio button.
