Many basic aspects of the Lab are consistent throughout the application, regardless of your assigned user role.
Create an Account
If you need to create a new Transferology Lab account, click the Request Lab Account link.
Only schools that subscribe to Transferology may be granted Lab access.
The Request Lab Account page displays:
Complete the Required fields (*): Name, School, Email, Job Title, Phone, Reason. Click the optional "Copy Me" checkbox to receive e-mail notification of your account request.
Gray fields cannot be edited. Mandatory fields are marked with a red asterisk (*).
Complete the form submission by clicking the Send Request button (). The request is sent to the School Administrator on your campus; CollegeSource does not approve accounts; your School Administrator will verify that you need a Transferology Lab account, and assign you to the appropriate role(s) within the app.
Sign In/Log in
Access the Transferology Lab login from the Transferology Lab home page. Sign in requires a valid Email and Password entry.
The unification of user accounts between the Transferology Lab and TES in the 1.6 release also includes a unified password, meaning that there will be only one password for each user. If you experience any issue logging in, reset the password via the Can't sign in? link.
Change Your Password
All users can change their passwords by clicking their user names in the upper right part of the menu. Click the My Profile option, then click the Update Password tab:
Because passwords were unified in the 1.6 release of the Transferology Lab 1.6, changing the user password on the My Profile page will also change the password for TES. (i.e., Transferology Lab password=TES password)
Forgot Your Password
If you simply forgot your Transferology password, click the Can't Sign In? link. The Can't Sign In? page displays:
Enter your email address to proceed. Complete the form submission by clicking the Request Password Reset button ().
Enter Recovery Code
When you request a password reset in the Lab, an email is generated that contains a recovery code. Enter this code in the "Recovery Code" text box to confirm the password reset.
You will then be logged in to Transferology and prompted to change your password immediately. Be sure to change your password to something unique that can be easily remembered.
End your Transferology session from any screen in the application by logging out. Click your user name in the upper-right corner of your window to view the drop-down menu containing Logout:
You will be returned to the initial Sign in screen to log back into the application.
Hyperlinks help navigate between functional areas within the application, generally appearing as black text or colored buttons/icons, usually with a tooltip that momentarily appears upon mouse hover:
When processing information within certain areas of Transferology, colored text bubbles may appear onscreen momentarily to notify the user. The bubbles generally appear in the upper-right part of the screen near the username, and only display temporarily (about 5 seconds). Color and tooltip information can help guide you through the application.
Green notification bubbles contain information:
Red notification bubbles contain alerts and warnings:
Regardless of which user role is logged in, hyperlink access to the following areas is always available in the Transferology Lab footer:
The Contact Us page provides an area for the user to generate a free-form message to CollegeSource.
Mandatory fields marked with a red asterisk (*) are required:
- First and Last Name*
First and Last Name* and Email* fields are autopopulated for logged-in users, and the Message field cannot be empty.
Messages are directed to support staff at CollegeSource, and are not sent to staff at your school.
The Accessibility page displays the CollegeSource Accessibility statement and provides users with a direct link to address Accessibility concerns.
