Equivalency Data

How will schools get equivalency information into Transferology?

Data will be collected and updated in Transferology by one of three methods:

  • If you have DARwin/uAchieve and an active Connector, Transferology will be updated every week.
  • If you have TES and store your equivalencies in TES, Transferology will be updated every night.
  • If you do not have a Connector or store your equivalencies in TES, flat files may be submitted twice a year per your subscription. See Flat File Specifications in Import Transfer Equivalencies.
Who do we send flat files to?

Please send flat files to Halena Do at halena@collegesource.com.

  • Flat files should be pipe (|) delimited text files
  • See the full Flat File Specifications in Import Transfer Equivalencies.
When do we have to get you a flat file?

We add/update information in Transferology on an ongoing basis. You may give us your data file at any time, at which point you will be added to Transferology.

Catalog Data

Where is my catalog data coming from in Transferology?

See School Catalog Type

Audits

Is SSL required for the URL to my school's degree audit server?

No.

Does Transferology support HTTP 1.0 Basic Authorization, with username and encoded password when sending the EDAG DegreeAuditRequest?

Yes. Transferology is able to send the standard Basic Authorization request header. Please send your EDAG's Basic Authentication credentials to dave@collegesource.com.

Is a self-signed SSL certificate allowed for the URL to my school's degree audit server?

No. There are a number of schools and we do not import certificates into the Transferology environment.

My school has a Transferology Connector or external Degree Audit server. What IP do I need to allow through my school's firewall for programs to work?

Transferology must send an XML program request to your Connector or external Degree Audit server. Additionally, your Connector or external Degree Audit server must send the resulting XML program response document back to Transferology.

For this exchange of XML documents to work, your school's firewall must allow the following IP addresses to communicate with your server, and your server must be able to communicate with these IP addresses:

  • 23.22.104.35
  • 18.207.24.42
Will interactive audit work in Transferology?

Yes.

Troubleshooting Tips

If you experience issues and are on a Windows machine, follow these steps to recreate your issues:

  1. Open Problem Steps Recorder by clicking the Start button (bottom left corner in Windows), and then typing psr. In the list of results, click psr.
  2. Click Start Record. On your computer, go through the steps on your computer to reproduce the problem. You can pause the recording at any time, and then resume it later.
  3. Click Stop Record.
  4. In the Save As dialog box, type a name for the file. Then, click Save. The file is saved with the .zip file name extension.
  5. Create an OWL issue. Choose Transferology, describe your problem, and upload the saved file for us to examine.

To view the record of the steps you recorded, open the .zip file you just saved, and then double-click the file. The document will open in your browser.

I'm experiencing issues with tabbing between menus and fields in my browser–what's causing this?

If you are using Safari, you will need to enable tabbing within the browser in the "Advanced" menu. Click in the checkbox [ ] to select the following option under the "Accessibility" section:

  • Press the Tab key on the keyboard to highlight each item on a webpage
