Roles

Actions

Read: Allows a user to view components in Batch

Update: Allows a user to edit components in Batch

Create: Allows a user to create components in Batch

Delete: Allows a user to delete components in Batch

Functions

  • BARS_AREA_BATCHES: Controls Batch permissions
  • BARS_AREA_BLACKOUTS: Controls permissions to Batch blackouts

Access

Three types of access in Batch include Full, Restricted, and None:

FULL: Users has complete access

RESTRICTED: User has restricted access

NONE: User has no permissions

Control Access

Permission must be set to use each separate function of Batch.

A simple formula to remember for setting permissions is: Action + Function + Access Type = Permission Setting

NOTE:

Batch also needs Read access to Dprog table, the Student View (if applicable), and any Tables used in LOV (List of Values) Queries.

Special Considerations

Any Firewall connection issues should be taken into consideration.

NOTE:
Every installation of Batch is different. Some installations may require more or less access, depending upon the environment and configuration.

For additional information on security settings, see Batch Security Definitions.
