Course Demand

Course Demand Reports are for institutions using the uAchieve Planner who need to analyze aggregate data about course demand, for example.

Student Plan Progress

New in 4.4  The Student Plan Progress report provides valuable plan tracking information that is based on student data from the audit and taken courses indicated on the student plan. The courses taken do NOT have to be taken in the exact same term they were planned in to indicate a match; any courses found as completed on the academic record will match that course on the plan. Any "off track" students are flagged in red.

Report fields include the following:

Field Description
Ending Plan Term

Track the course completion through the indicated term

Off Track Course Threshold The number of courses a student has to miss before they are considered "off track"
Plan Status

Drop-down selection for the status of the plans to be tracked:

  • All declared plans (default)
  • All approved plans
Declared Program Optional field to generate this report only for students who have the indicated declared program
Plan Approver Optional field indicating the username of the plan approver

InstID The institution's unique identification code
CD Specifies a part of your institution as a separate institution
Output Type

The Submit button generates a list of students that match the input field parameters, with "off track" students indicated in red:

The last column "Result" displays a red "OFF PLAN" message to easily flag those students who fall outside of the tracking parameters set by the user.

Detail View

On the HTML output (only), click on a Stuno (blue hyperlink) to drill down into the report data for more details on where/when matching has not occurred:

  • Course: Course name you want to search for (optional since a course name may or may not exist)
  • IDQ: Institution's two-digit ID qualifier
  • InstID: Institution's four- to six-digit unique identification code
  • CD: Used when a part of your institution needs to be considered a separate institution
  • Output Type: Select option for either HTML or PDF via radio button

This functionality is similar to the Find Course utility that has always been available in the uAchieve Client. View a side-by-side comparison below:

uAchieve Client, Find Course Utility Dashboard, Course Search

Perform a Course Search
  1. From the Reports menu, click the Course Search link under the "Encoding" section:

  2. On the Course Search page, narrow your search parameter by keying in text into relevant search fields. For example, search Course title "ENG101":

  3. View the Course Search Report, listing results grouped by String, Convert, Repeat, Sub-requirement, TA Source, and TA Target areas:

NOTE:
The Course Search Report is static.

Although the new Course Search in Dashboard mirrors the functionality that exists in the uAchieve Client, please keep in mind the following differences:

  • Unlike the uAchieve Client utility, you cannot double-click within the search results to open it because the Course Search is currently a static report in Dashboard (this may change in a future release)
  • Unlike the uAchieve Client utility, you cannot use a percentage sign (%) to retrieve wildcard matches in Dashboard Course Search
