TA Edit Rules Tab
The Edit Rules tab is where Segment Rules can be edited by way of managing the Control Area part of the Rule (at the top) and the Transfer (Source) Courses and Home (Target) Courses for the rule.
When editing rules, it is best practice to Save changes frequently. |
Main areas of the Edit Rules tab include the following:
- Segment
- Rules
- Rule Control Area
- Transfer Courses
- Home Courses
Segment
Select a Segment from the drop-down menu:
Rules
The Rule(s) for the selected Segment are listed along the left pane of the window.
Selected Rule
The Rule highlighted in yellow is designated as the Selected Rule:
The Selected Rule can be in any position (Rule 1, Rule 2, Rule 3...), and is regardless of position within the list, i.e., Rule 1 is not necessarily the Selected Rule simply because it is the first rule in the list. |
The Selected Rule's position in the list is reflected in the Rule Control Area to the right, e.g., moving the Selected Rule into 3rd position changes the Control Area title to "Rule 3 Control Area."
Add Rule
To force a new rule into the list of rules in the left pane, follow these steps:
- Determine which line of the segment the new rule should be added
- Key the position number into the field
- Click the green + Add button (
) to add the new rule to this segment
The new created rule will appear both in the left pane and in the Rule Control Area.
Move Rule
To move a rule to re-order it, hover over the Move button () with the mouse until the cursor turns from a pointer icon (
