CollegeSource Certified Users

CollegeSource offers certification programs as professional development opportunities to our uAchieve* encoding and TES administrator community to recognize our most experienced and active members. Three types of certifications are available at this time based on an individual's training record and experience:

• CollegeSource Certified uAchieve Degree Audit Encoder
• CollegeSource Certified uAchieve Transfer Articulation Encoder
• CollegeSource Certified TES Administrator

Certificate holders receive a printed, signed certificate and will be listed on this site. Certification lasts for two years, at which point it may be renewed based on meeting continuing criteria.

To become a certified TES administrator, you must attend a two-part pre-conference workshop plus selected sessions at a CollegeSource Annual Conference; have been using TES for at least one year, and maintain an active position in a TES-licensed institution. Experience should be affirmed by a signed reference letter from a supervisor indicating current employment with a statement that TES is a routine part of the individual's job. Certificates are awarded at the end of the annual conference.

To become CollegeSource-certified, submit the attached application form to Chris Starkey at ChrisS@CollegeSource.com with proof of the following:

• Training: Degree audit encoders must complete basic and intermediate encoding workshop training through CollegeSource; transfer articulation encoders must complete TA encoding training through CollegeSource. (Individuals who have never attended formal CollegeSource training but have been encoding for more than 10 years may provide evidence of such encoding work history with two references and evidence of community service in place of the training requirement. • Experience: Encoder must have been in an active audit or TA encoding position within a licensed uAchieve/DARwin institution for at least two years.

*Encoders using a DARwin version of the software are eligible under the same guidelines for certification–we will make no distinction regarding software versions.
