QRG: Entering Exceptions in uAchieve®
This Quick Reference Guide (QRG) provides a very high-level, overview guide on how to add basic exceptions for a student from the uAchieve degree audit. For more detailed information on fields and setting up exceptions in Self-Service, see: https://support.collegesource.com/uAchieve/uAchieve_Degree_Audit/uAchieve_Quick_Start_Guide/Self-Service_Staff_User_Guide/Create_Exceptions_From_the_Audit
NOTE: Your screens may look different depending on the functionality your institution has implemented, custom branding, and/or your permissions.
Exceptions from the Audit
Waivers and exceptions can be set up to be done directly from the audit in the web interface (Self-Service). They can be distributed among your staff as desired based on roles and permissions. Six types of exceptions can be set up easily by the uAchieve encoding administrator using the Admin area. Additional advanced exceptions can be set up in Self-Service through additional configuration.
Enabling Basic Exceptions
The Admin console allows you to enable the six basic exception types without assistance from your IT Staff. If you have access to the Admin console, you will see the wrench icon () on the Home page or can access Admin from the gearwheel dropdown (
) at the upper-right corner of the Self-Service screen.
Set up for basic exceptions is on the Audit Exceptions screen under Exceptions. Each type of exception must have a Ctlcd matched to the appropriate CD in the uAchieve Exception Rules Table. Hints on how to set up each exception type are provided in gray circles. NOTE: If any of the exception Ctlcd fields are blank, those particular icons will not display on the audit.
